In La Palma de Cervelló, construction has already begun on the new Primary Care Center (CAP), a project by the Catalonia Department of Health.

The project, designed by architects Stefano Cortellaro, Pablo Roel, and Eva Sánchez, with execution direction by Valeri Consultors, envisions a single-story building perfectly integrated into the urban environment.

The new CAP is located on a unique triangular plot, where a rooftop plaza with direct access from Avinguda Catalunya will also be created, combining healthcare functionality with new public spaces for the community.

The façades, featuring ribbed exposed concrete and hydro-demolished concrete, are both a technical and aesthetic challenge, paying tribute to the textures of the existing stone walls, achieving modern architecture that respects the memory of the site.

Another important technical element is the construction of an ascending retaining wall, reinforced with large laminated profiles, to ensure the safety of vehicles and pedestrians along the avenue.
