Manresa Revives the Legacy of the Alcoholera with the New ‘Nova Alcoholera’ Building Constructed by Garcia Riera

Construction company Garcia Riera, S.L. is finalizing the Nova Alcoholera project, a new residential complex designed to pay tribute to and preserve the historical heritage of Manresa’s former Alcoholera.
The name “Alcoholera” comes from the liquor factory that once occupied this site. The factory’s chimney was restored a few years ago, and in this new project, efforts have been made to maintain harmony with the historic façade of the Alcoholera by incorporating arches reminiscent of the original structure.
The Nova Alcoholera development, located in the center of Manresa, consists of 98 new-build homes with layouts of 2, 3, and 4 bedrooms, all of them including a parking space and storage room.
In addition to its residential aspect, the project features a commercial area and is integrated with the restored chimney of the original factory, which serves as a heritage landmark of the city’s industrial past.
The architectural design blends modernity and elegance, offering welcoming interiors, excellent connections, and nearby services such as the university, green areas like Parc de l’Àguila, public transport, and local shops.
The development also incorporates sustainability criteria: energy efficiency, certifications, landscaped communal areas, and parking.
